Terry Fox is a canadian icon who inspired millions with his courageous and inspirational “Marathon of Hope”, running half way across Canada on one leg to raise money to find a cure for cancer. This mosaic was done as a tribute to Terry in conjunction with the Terry Fox Run. It is comprised of up-cycled plastic milk containers, cut into different sized squares and heat sealed onto a chain link fence.

Many thanks to the original photographter Gail Harvey, who generously allowed us to use her photo of Terry. Gail has a beautiful gallery of other Terry images on her site, many of which she used in her book, “Terry Fox: a pictorial tribute to the marathon of hope”; Gail also worked on the Terry Fox movie.
